Overview
The Info tab is the first tab you see when you open a product. It contains the product's core metadata: title, description, attached files, and external links. It also has the Export Product button and a collaborator badge showing who has access.
Collaborator Badge
At the top-right of the Info tab is a small collaborator badge showing the avatars of people who have access to this product (both direct and inherited from the project). Clicking it opens a summary of collaborators.
Editing the Title
The product title is displayed prominently at the top of the Info tab.
- Click the pencil / edit icon next to the product name (visible to editors and owners).
- The title becomes an editable text field. Type the new name.
- Press
Enteror click Save to confirm. PressEscapeor click Cancel to discard.
A spinner appears while the save is in progress. The header title updates immediately after saving.
Editing the Description
Below the title is the product description section.
- Click inside the description area (or the edit icon if shown).
- Type or paste your description text. Multi-line text is supported.
- Click Save to persist the change.
If you are a viewer, the description is shown read-only and no edit controls appear.
Product Files
Attach any reference files to the product โ PDFs, spreadsheets, images, drawings, etc.
Uploading a file
- In the Files section, click Upload file (or the upload icon).
- Select a file from your computer. The upload begins immediately.
- A progress indicator shows while the file uploads. Once complete, the file appears in the list.
Downloading a file
Click the file name or the download icon next to it. The file opens or downloads via a secure signed URL.
Deleting a file
Click the trash icon next to the file. Confirm the deletion when prompted. This action is permanent.
Product Links
Store external URLs relevant to the product โ supplier pages, specification documents, CAD repositories, etc.
Adding a link
- In the Links section, click Add link.
- Enter the URL (required) and an optional label (display name).
- Click Save. The link appears in the list.
Editing a link
Click the edit icon next to a link to change its URL or label, then save.
Deleting a link
Click the trash icon next to the link and confirm.
Opening a link
Click the link label or URL to open it in a new browser tab.
Export to Excel
The Export Product button at the bottom of the Info tab generates a complete Excel workbook for this product.
- Click Export Product (download icon, bottom of the Info tab).
- SysHub fetches all product data (versions, tasks, files, links, classes, groups) and builds the workbook. A spinner shows while this is in progress.
- The
.xlsxfile downloads automatically.
Open in Viewer
The Open in Viewer button (indigo, top-right of the product header) opens the interactive 3D viewer for the current version of this product. On desktop it appears in the header; on mobile it appears as a sub-row below the title.

Classes Tab
The Classes tab shows all project classes that have been assigned to parts of this product. Each class row lists the parts assigned to it and their field values.
- Click a class row to expand it and see the assigned parts.
- Click a part name to jump to that part in the 3D viewer.
- Editors with assignClasses permission can assign or unassign classes from parts directly in the viewer (see Chapter 8).
Groups Tab
The Groups tab shows all custom part groups defined for this product. Groups are collections of parts you create in the 3D viewer to organise related components.
- Each group row shows the group name and the parts it contains.
- Click a part name to navigate to it in the viewer.
- Groups are created and managed in the 3D viewer (see Chapter 8 โ Groups).
Interfaces Tab
The Interfaces tab shows all connections (interfaces) between parts, organised by class or group scope in a two-level accordion.
- Expand a class or group accordion to see the interfaces defined within that scope.
- Click an interface card to open its detail panel (title, description, connected parts, tasks, files, links).
- Click the Info button on a scope accordion to open the class or group info panel.
- Interfaces are created in the Interface Diagram view of the 3D viewer (see Chapter 8 โ Interface Diagram).
