Terms of Service
Effective date:
Please read these Terms carefully before using SysHub. They govern your use of our platform and outline the rights and responsibilities of both parties.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SysHub (the “Service”) — including the website at sys-hub.com and the application at app.sys-hub.com — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and SysHub (“we”, “us”, or “our”). We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Description of Service
SysHub is a hardware engineering project management platform that provides:
- Project and product management with file, link, and task tracking.
- Upload and cloud-based conversion of STEP/STP CAD files to optimized 3D models (GLB).
- An interactive WebGL 3D viewer with assembly tree navigation, explode view, cross-section, and render modes.
- Kanban-style task boards at the project level and per-part task management inside the 3D viewer.
- Team collaboration via email-based invites with viewer and editor roles.
- Version history and side-by-side version comparison for uploaded CAD files.
The Service is currently provided free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid plans in the future, with reasonable advance notice to existing users.
3. Eligibility & Account Registration
You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement.
You may register using an email address and password, or via Google Sign-In. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at hello@sys-hub.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their explicit consent, or use automated means to create accounts in bulk.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You must not:
- Upload files that contain malware, viruses, or any malicious code.
- Upload content that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' data, accounts, or systems.
- Use the Service to store or transmit content that is illegal, defamatory, or harmful.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service in a way that places unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
- Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercialize access to the Service without our written consent.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, without prior notice.
5. Your Content
“Your Content” means any data, files, CAD models, text, or other material you upload, create, or store through the Service — including STEP/STP files, project descriptions, task details, and file attachments.
You retain full ownership of Your Content. By uploading content to SysHub, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, and display Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you and your collaborators. We do not claim any ownership over your CAD files or project data.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that Your Content does not violate any applicable laws, third-party intellectual property rights, or export control regulations. Do not upload files that contain classified, export-controlled, or otherwise restricted technical data unless you are authorized to do so.
We do not access, review, or use Your Content for any purpose other than operating the Service (e.g., converting STEP files to GLB for the 3D viewer).
6. Intellectual Property
The SysHub platform — including its software, design, user interface, logos, and documentation — is owned by SysHub and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, trade names, or branding without our prior written consent.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works of the Service or any part of it without our express written permission.
7. Collaboration & Shared Access
SysHub allows you to invite other registered users to collaborate on your projects and products. When you grant a collaborator access, you are responsible for ensuring that sharing your content with that person is appropriate and lawful.
Collaborators are bound by these Terms. You may revoke a collaborator’s access at any time. However, you acknowledge that collaborators may have already viewed, downloaded, or otherwise interacted with content you shared with them before access was revoked.
We are not responsible for the actions of collaborators you invite, or for any disputes that arise between you and your collaborators.
8. Service Availability & Modifications
We strive to keep SysHub available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, infrastructure issues, or circumstances beyond our control.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes — particularly those that affect data access or availability.
We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors, that defects will be corrected, or that the Service or the servers that make it available are free of viruses or other harmful components.
CAD file conversion (STEP to GLB) is provided on a best-effort basis. We do not guarantee that all STEP files will convert successfully or that the resulting 3D model will be geometrically identical to the source file in all cases.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SYSHUB AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION — ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM (OR, IF THE SERVICE WAS FREE, FIFTY US DOLLARS).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. To request deletion of your account and all associated data, email us at hello@sys-hub.com.
We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent or abusive behavior, or if required to do so by law.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 5, 6, 9, 10, and 13) will continue to apply.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective Date” at the top of this page. For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you — for example, by sending an email to the address associated with your account.
Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms are posted constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the Service.
